Anwar is endowed with a deep well of experience in all aspects of the brand building process – including creative strategy, corporate and retail identity, name generation, packaging, digital, and traditional story-telling.

Anwar joined 7 Communications as our Creative Director, in the spring of 2013. Prior to us acquiring this 5-tool player, he was the Lead Designer at Sony Music Canada. While there, he designed artwork for some of the world’s leading musical artists – a collection that included P!nk, Bedouin Soundclash, One Direction, Celine Dion and Leonard Cohen – helping each to connect and engage with their audiences.

Outside of the entertainment industry, Anwar’s design experience is vast – including projects within retail, construction, real estate, software, financial services and automotive. Here he created brand communications, curated intriguing stories, and enticed new customers to experience the world's best brands in both two and three dimensions.

Until 2022, Anwar was commander in chief of the creative team where he created calm in chaos. While he has stayed on with us in a contract capacity, he joined Giants of Africa as their Creative Director. He told us long ago that he would never leave us for another agency job. To him, he had found his family here — and you don’t leave family. But to some, this opportunity is the equivalent of being invited to be a representative to the UN. It’s in another stratosphere where his trajectory will continue, and we could not be prouder of him. In fact, he might just be one of the best humans we know.

When he’s not imagining the world’s best creative, he can be found doing some super impressive handyman thingy majiggy, or being the World’s best dad.
